Round bar is easy to machine and useful in a variety of industries including agriculture, construction, manufacturing and fabrication. Hot rolled round bar is seen in applications such as railings, ground stakes and ornamental projects and has a larger tolerance due to being processed at such high temperatures. Cold finished round bar is often used in machine component parts applications like for rod sprockets and shafts; these go through additional processing which makes them more true to size and provides more accuracy.
